We are seeing more and more requests from businesses requiring a full audit track of the events on a project files. This is particularly critical in projects involving multiple companies within the same project
We have therefore published a use case detailing all the possible ways of tracking the actions of all project files.
This is a major update for Files. Now for the story behind this feature : projects usually start small but when the momentum builds up, part of the project needs to spin off. This is when you realize that you need to download all relevant files and upload them again into a new project. This is now history: create your new project and click on 'Import' in Files. And it's done.
With our standard uploader you could not upload multiple files with one selection when the files browser pops up. After numerous discussions on the right implementation for this, we have now added an Adobe flash plug-in which makes this possible (finally !). This is something heavy Files users have been asking for some time now. We hope you'll all enjoy multiple file uploads.
Members of your project are often on remote sites or even in different time zones. There's a good chance you've uploaded a file and wanted to be sure whether your colleagues have downloaded it. This is now possible with the indicator for recent download attempts in Files. Obviously if you don't want to use this, you can disable it in the Files settings page.
From the start email integration has been a key feature. We are now working to take all our emails into HTML. This is available now for mail notifications in Files. The feedback is already great and we are now set to make the same changes in all our email notifications to thing simpler for our users.
